Make Me NPP Running Mate For 2024 Elections – Diana Asamoah To Akufo-Addo

Award-winning Gospel musician Evangelist Diana Asamoah has called on leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to make her the running mate of any candidate who emerges victorious in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.

She said though she has a lot to offer the party, the most important trump card she will bring to the table will be spreading the word of God to every household in Ghana.

Making this request known on UTV on Saturday, February 25, the Mabo Wo Din composer said she wants her efforts of having stayed loyal to the NPP paid by granting this request.

The NPP will elect a fresh face as Presidential Candidate after more than 15 years for next year’s elections.

So far, former Trade Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, former Agric Minister Dr Afriyie Owusu Akoto, former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, former Mampong MP Francis Addai Nimoh and Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku have declared intention to contest the race.

Despite his silence, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to also join the race to succeed Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who has led the party in the past four presidential elections.

The running mate will be selected after the 2023 presidential primaries.
