Mahama’s Costs Of Travels As President Comes Under Scrutiny; MP Files Question To That Effect

Former President John Dramani Mahama’s cost of travels while he was president between 2013 to 2017 has been put up for scrutiny in Parliament.

Lawmaker for Dormaa East, Paul Apraku Twum Barima filed an urgenbt question in Parliament regarding the former President’s costs of travels.

According to him, it’s become necessary that the country knows how much sitting Presidents spend on chartered flights in order to address it collectively.

“I have filed the question to also understand how much it cost this country between 2013 to 2017 when our president [former President Mahama] was on series of travels using chartered flights,” he told Joy News.

“It is, therefore, important that as a country we look at collectively how we can come together to resolve all these issues.

This comes after North Tongu lawmaker, Okudzeto Ablakwa accused President Akufo-Addo of spending approximately £15,000 an hour on a luxurious private jet to France.
