Mahama’s Claim Of Suspension Of Teacher Licensure Examination False — MoE

The Ministry Of Education, has denied the John Dramani Mahama’s claim of the suspension of the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE).

According to the Press Secretary to the Minister of Education, Rodney Nkrumah Boateng, the National Teaching Council (NTC) rather postponed the initial date of the examination which was supposed to take place on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th September, 2020 to Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd October, 2020.

The teacher licensing body in their release on Friday,11th September, 2020 said the postponement of the date was as a result of the review of the second semester examination timetable for continuing students which conflicts with their initial date for the teacher licensing exams hence it postponement.

The education ministry further urged all candidates to refrain from such misleading statements from the flagbearer of the NDC as well as other online portals for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination has not been cancelled or suspended, it stressed.
