Mahama Will Be Sworn In As President On January 7 No Matter What – Azorka Vows

The 1st Vice-chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Sofo Azorka has insisted that the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama won the 2020 Presidential polls and is duly expected to be sworn in as President on January 7, 2021.

Addressing the media at the Tamale Jubilee park after a protest by the NDC against Electoral Commission boss Jean Mensah, Azorka noted that John Mahama legitimately won the polls which has rather being declared in favour of President Akufo-Addo.

He further noted that the NDC will have majority in the next Parliament even though the EC has given them to the ruling New Patriotic Party.

The NDC have been protesting the results of the 2020 polls after their leader refused to accept defeat and congratulate Akufo-Addo as President elect as declared by the EC.

They have vowed to use all legitimate means to overturn the results in favour of the NDC.
