Mahama Was Intimidated By NPP’s Achievements In The Bono Region – Abronye

The Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama truncated his scheduled tour of the Bono Region a few days ago and returned back to Accra over alleged abnormalities in the ongoing voters’ exhibition exercise.

This was to help him and the NDC mount up strategies to mitigate this challenge.

However Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly called Abronye DC has said that Mahama stopped halted his campaign in the Region not because of these claimed anomalies in the electoral processes.

He made this disclosure in an interview with Philip Osei Bonsu, Show Host of Eko Sii Sen on Asempa FM, on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.

According to him, Mr. Mahama cut short his campaign because of intimidation from the ongoing developmental works in the region by the ruling NPP administration.

Mr. Baffoe cited infrastructural projects such as roads, schools, factories among others as some of the completed and ongoing projects in the region.

He said such progress in the area was too much to handle for a former President who did nothing for eight years in office and with shame all over him, Mr. Mahama decided to prematurely end his tour of the region.
