Mahama Wants Maternity Leave Increased Because His Baby With Tracey Is 3-months Old – Wontumi

The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Wontumi has insinuated former president John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Prof Jane Naana Agyemang are calling for maternity leave increment because he (Mahama) has many children.

Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Wontumi stated that, “he (Mahama) likes giving birth that is why he wants an increase in maternity leave. His last born with Tracey Boakye is 3 months old.”

Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has been campaigning to increase maternity leave period from three to four months if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is voted back into power.

According to her, it forms part of the many policies listed in the party’s 2020 manifesto that proves that it cares for Ghanaians.
