Mahama Suspends Campaign After Several NDC Members Complained Of Their Names Missing In The Voter’s Register

The former President, and flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama has suspended his nationwide campaign tour, citing the growing complaints by members of the NDC of their names missing from the new voter register.

The former President had brought his campaign to the Bono Region after a tour of the Bono East Region.

However, there have been various calls by members of the NDC that their names were somehow missing from the Voter’s register; a claim which was reinforced by NDC MP for Ashaiman, Ernest Norgbey and Minority leader, Haruna Iddrisu.

Even though the Electoral Commission has rejected the claims, and insisted that all names are duly captured in the Register, the NDC flagbearer has suspended his campaign tour and is on his way to Accra to address the media on the issue.
