Mahama Promises 250,000 Jobs For the Youth As He Meets Wa Chiefs

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has promised to provide the teeming youth in the country with 250,000 jobs if elected president on December 7.

He made this known while addressing the chiefs and people at the Wa Naa Palace as part of his tour to the Upper West Region.

The former president further insisted on his pledge to invest in infrastructure and complete all abandoned projects by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“I will provide 250,000 jobs to the youth spanning from agribusiness, Forestry, construction and artisans among others,” he stated.

In addition, he pledged to upgrade the Wa Municipality to the status of a Metropolis, saying, “…..considering the growing number of people and businesses in the Wa municipality, It will be befitting to upgrade it to the status of a metropolis if I am voted into power.”
