According to a recognized university instructor, the difference between Vice President Bawumia and former President John Mahama is that when the former speaks, it provokes thought, whilst the latter is a master in lying.
In an interview with Wontumi TV, Ishaq Kyei Brobbey remarked that Ghanaians have progressively come to know Mr. Mahama as a man who speaks without “facts.”
His remarks follow John Mahama’s eventual acknowledgment that the impact of COVID 19, together with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, has hindered economic growth around the world, after denying the truth here in Ghana.
Speaking at the Havard Business School’s 24th Africa Business Conference, John Mahama finally conceded that the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict have had a negative impact on world economies, particularly those of African countries.
Prior to this, John Mahama denied that the crisis had impacted Ghana’s economy.
“No one should put priority on what Mahama said,” Mr. Brobbey cautioned, “since he was unable to add any factual claims to his remarks.”
He went on to say that John Mahama does not have a good brand because he speaks without facts.
He also repeated former President John Mahama’s statements to him, reminding him that he once told a crowd that as a politician, he had to lie to Ghanaians.
“When you put the two together, I don’t think Ghanaians will make that mistake of choosing Mahama,” Ishaq Brobbey said of choosing a future leader for Ghana.
“This is a man who believes you have to lie as a politician, so I consider his remarks to be lies,” he reminded the National Democratic Congress’s 2020 flagbearer.
He finished by stating that the difference between Mahama and Bawumia is that when Bawumia speaks, it causes people to think.
