Mahama Justifies ‘Akyem Sakawa Boys’ Comment, Slams Akuffo-Addo For Replicating Same Comment When In Opposition
Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former president, John Dramani Mahama has justified his ethnocentric comment.
An excerpt of a statement purported to be from John Mahama posted on social media by James Agyenim-Boateng, has justified the Akyem sakawa boys comment which was retweeted by the former president.
According to the post, President Akuffo-Addo during his time as opposition leader called the president [J. E. A Mills] before him Professor Do Little.
The post further went on to slam Akuffo-Addo for calling his critics Jeremiah and naysayers.
The full post reads;
“President Akufo-Addo lost his right to complain a long time ago. He was an opposition leader who called the presidents before him anything you can imagine, including Professor Do Little … He is a president who calls his critics naysayers and jeremiahs. On what standard is he angry?”.
