Mahama Is A Desperate Politician Who Lacks Understanding – Obiri Boahen

A Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has descended on former president John Dramani Mahama after he criticized President Akufo Addo’s directive for the Auditor General to proceed on leave.

Mr Mahama had described the President’s directive as a dangerous precedent adding, “if the president can ask the Auditor General to go on leave, it means he can ask the Chief Justice to go on leave, he can ask the Electoral Commissioner to go on leave, he can ask the CHRAJ Director to go on leave, but these are supposed to be independent institutions”.

In reaction, Obiri Boahen in an interview slammed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer labeling him desperate and ignorant.

“It was borne out of ignorance and alcoholic influence. Mahama is restless and desperate politician dancing around issues.”

Obiri Boahen further chided Mahama for his criticism on the just ended voter registration exercise.

He stated, “I always repeat Mahama is ignorant, restless, painful and a desperate politician who wants power but has no understanding of appreciating issues.”
