Mahama In Trouble For Claiming Eastern Region Residents Will Vote For A Goat As Candidate On The Ticket Of NPP

Former President John Dramani Mahama is in a troubling situation as the Eastern Regional branch of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), are demanding an unqualified apology for saying residents of the region will even vote for a quote on the ticket of the NPP.

Mahama while addressing artisans and drivers in the Eastern Region noted that the people have not received the much needed development from the very party they vote for yet when it presents even a goat in NPP colours they’ll still vote for it.

He charged them to switch to the NDC in the 2020 polls because they have better opportunies.

In reaction, the NPP’s regional first vice-chair, Alhaji Omar Bodinga expressed unhappiness about the statement and demanded that the former president apologise else they’ll stage a political protest against him on election day.

“Candidate John Dramani Mahama is not an ordinary man. He is a former president. We would have forgiven him if he was a party foot soldier or an executive. But he is a former p[resident and should know better. His comments were unfortunate, tribal, insulting and must apologize, or on December 7, 2020, we will launch a political protest against him,” he’s quoted by rainbow online.
