Mahama Fails To Show Up At Rawlings’ Mother’s Funeral; Akuffo-Addo, Bawumia Mourns With NDC Founder

The flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama was conspicuously missing as dignitaries and sympathizers went in their numbers to mourn with former President Jerry John Rawlings as ‘he sent his mother home’.

It is unclear why the NDC flagbearer was missing at the funeral of the mother of the NDC founder, however, the Party was represented at the event by Vice presidential candidate Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, NDC National Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, and North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

MP for Ketu South Constituency, Fiifi Kwetey and some other members of the NDC were also present to commiserate with the party’s founder.

The NPP on the other hand, were represented by a powerful delegation led by President Akufo-Addo. Other members of the ruling Party’s delegation included; First lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
