Mahama Contesting For Presidency An Insult To The People Of Ghana – Dennis Miracles

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the communications lead for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, has sharply criticized former President John Dramani Mahama’s decision to run in the 2024 elections. According to Aboagye, Mahama’s candidacy is an insult to the people of Ghana, given his previous performance as President.

Aboagye articulated several reasons why he believes Mahama should not be considered for leadership again. “John Mahama is disrespecting us by even thinking of coming to ask us to vote for him. It is an insult to the people of Ghana to see him on TV asking for our votes,” he said.

He highlighted Mahama’s alleged failures during his presidency, stating, “You collapsed and sold 300 factories. We should vote out the people who have worked with the private sector to bring 300 factories and bring you. You withdrew the Teacher Training Allowance, and now you want us to vote against those who have restored it.”

Aboagye continued, criticizing Mahama’s handling of employment for graduates, “You kept teachers and nurses who graduated in 2014, 2015, and 2016 at home, while the current administration has posted them to work. You paid them for three months instead of a year, and now you’re asking us to vote out the government that is paying them correctly.”

He also referenced the energy crisis under Mahama’s tenure, “You kept us in darkness for three out of four years, and now you’re saying the people who have kept the lights on for seven to eight years should leave for you. It doesn’t add up.”

Aboagye concluded by contrasting the infrastructure achievements of the two administrations, “You constructed about 4,000km of roads, but we should vote out a government that has constructed about 12,000km of roads in the country. It does not add up.”
