It is a fact that the 2020 election was concluded just about 4 months ago, however, it is also a fact that the scramble for the 2024 election has already began in earnest.
In the NPP, the race appears to be between Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremateng.
In the NDC, however, the race appears to be straightforward for John Mahama, unless of course he decides not to contest, which also appears to be a possibility at the moment.
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) had earlier revealed in a report that the NDC was likely to win the 2024 election if the Party presented a new flagbearer.
However, from all indications, it appears Mr Mahama is overwhelmingly placed to be elected once again as flagbearer of the NDC for the fourth time.
This notwithstanding, the following flagbearer and running mate pairings are making waves on social media as a likely partnership for the NDC in 2024.
Kwesi Botchway and Haruna Iddrisu
Goosie Tanoh and Alban Bagbin
John Mahama and Asiedu Nketia
Kwabena Duffuor and Haruna Iddrisu
Kwabena Duffuor and Mohammed Ibn Chambas
Mohammed Ibn Chambas and Goosie Tanoh
Haruna Iddrisu and Zanetor Rawlings
Alban Bagbin and Zanetor Rawlings
Despite these probable pairings, it remains a fact that John Mahama is the likeliest person to lead the NDC in 2024 unless he decides not to contest.
