Some executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Techiman South constituency wants the party leadership to drop its case against the Member of Parliament at the area.
The NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) whose candidate, Martin Adjei Mensah-Korsah was declared legislator for the area after the 2020 polls, have been battling it out at the Wenchi High court.
The NDC dragged both Martin and the Electoral Commission to court, contesting the decision.
However, some of the NDC executives in Techiman believes the dragging case should be dropped so the party can focus on dealing with internal wrangling in order to win the 2024 polls.
Addressing the media, Kwadwo Adjei, one of the branch executives of the NDC in the constituency said the party stands to lose if it continues to follow the issue to the latter.
“The internal problem is very big, so we want the leadership to look back at the toil of branch executives like us which even led to the defeat and concentrate on the internal issues to get resolved so that we can secure victory,” he said
