Let’s Allow Gays To Be; They Are Human And Have The Right To Do What They Want – Freddy Blay To Ghanaians

Mr Freddy Blay, the National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has advocated for gays to be free to express their sexual preferences.

He claims that, while he does not agree with the practice as a whole, he does not comprehend the public outcry and heated debate surrounding it.

He highlighted his misgivings about the ‘hypocrisy’ surrounding the discourse regarding gays in an interview with Accra-based Asaase Radio, and begged for the practitioners to be left alone.

“I don’t believe in homosexuality. It’s a decision. They don’t entice me since I’m not drawn to them. But I’m not interested in going into other people’s bedrooms. I’m not interested in seeing what they’re up to. I believe that if people want to be gay, it should be their own concern.

I will not become a persecutor of those who wish to live together as man and woman. There’s a lot of hypocrisy in it, in my opinion.

And we’ve been ecstatic about it, our emotions have been ecstatic about it to the point that we’re not sober about it. I honestly have no idea what all the fuss is about. He stated, “We should allow them.”
