Let Your Children Inspire Us By Selling Kenkey – Basintale To Ofori-Atta

Maleek Basintale, the Communications Officer for the NDC in the Savannah Region has told finance minister, Kenkey Ofori-Atta to let his children venture into kenkey selling to motivate the Ghanaian youth into becoming entrepreneurs.

His comment comes after the finance minister said government’s payroll is full and cannot further employ graduates.

Addressing graduans of UPSA on Friday, October 15, the minister indicated that 60 percent of Ghana’s revenue is spent on salaries and remuneration for workers on the government’s payroll, and went on to encourage youngsters to venture into entrepreneurship.

He has since been under fire for the comment while some few others support his claim.

Speaking on TV3, Maleek Basintale bemoaned how the ruling NPP has taken Ghanaians for granted and refused to be accountable to the people.

He advised the finance minister to let his children lead the way in entrepreneurship by becoming kenkey sellers.

He reminded the government of its promise to create jobs for the youth and advised them to stick to it.
