Leading member of the New Patriotic Party, Gabby Otchere-Darko has said Lordina Mahama should be left alone in the presidential spouses allowance brouhaha.
According to Gabby, the former first lady does not have to refund her allowance. He went ahead to blame the former president, John Mahama for not attempting to set up an independent Emoluments Committee after saying he believes in the 2011 Constitution Review Commission’s Report.
In his tweet, he wrote:
Leave Lordina Mahama alone! She doesn’t have to refund her alawa. Not her fault her husband who says he believes in the 2011 Constitution Review Commission Report’s recommendation to set up an Independent Emoluments Committee yet he never ever saw the need to attempt to do it.
