Leaked Document Claims Sir John Willed Portions Of Achimota Forest To His Family

The late Sir John

A document heavily circulated on social media in the last 24 hours, which is alleged to be a page in the late Forestry Commission CEO, Sir John’s will, has generated intense debate on the internet.

The alleged will claims that the late former general secretary of the NPP willed portions of the Achimota forest reserve to his family.

The Achimota forest reserve has become a subject of controversy in recent days after it was alleged by some CSO’s that the Akufo-Addo government had sold the only forest reserve in Accra.

Though government denied the allegations and insisted that it was only releasing some peripheral portions of the reserve to the original owners, the Owoo family, the debate has continued with many refusing to accept government’s explanation.

With the latest document, alleged to be a page in the will of the late Sir John, there has been massive debate on social media as to whether persons in government have already appropriated the forest reserve unto themselves.
