The Information Minister, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has chided the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for his politicisation of the recent secession attacks in the Volta Region.
The NDC’s Chief Scribe, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has stated that these insurgencies are orchestrations by the ruling NPP to intimidate the people of Volta Region and rig the 2020 elections.
However, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah reacting to these comments stated that he is appalled and disappointed by the position taken by Mr. Asiedu Nketiah.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Eko Sii Sen Show on October 6, 2020, he condemned the utterance and allegations urging everyone not to pay attention to these baseless politicisation from the NDC and its General Secretary.
He assured that government has taken steps to deal with the secessionists and bring all individuals involved to book.
