Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Defends Idea To Build Airport In Cape Coast

Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has defended the NPP government’s promise to build an Airport in the Central Regional capital of Cape Coast in its second term if given the nod in the 2020 elections.

The minister believes it’s a laudable idea that needs to be recommended.

According to him, an Airport is one of the pressing needs which has been put before successive governments by the people of Cape Coast.

Mr. Oppong Nkrumah speaking on Asempa FM’s award winning Eko Sii Sen Show, noted that building an Airport in a strategic town as Cape Coast makes economic sense and will open up the Metropolis for further development.

He added that Cape Coast aside being one of Ghana’s favourable tourism destinations is also home to a huge number of second cycle institutions as well as the renowned University of Cape Coast and so all these were considered in the government’s Airport promise.
