Kennedy Agyapong’s Utterances Create Division – Lawyer Ampaw

Whenever Kennedy Agyapong opens his mouth to utter a word, he “divides” the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has asserted.

He described the Assin Central legislator as someone who lacks humility when compared to the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NPP, Chairman Wontumi.

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has cautioned Chairman Wontumi to stay calm in the party because he does not own the party.

Speaking with Accra-based TV3, Kennedy Agyapong said, “my brother Wontumi should cool down. He should cool down [because] he doesn’t own this party. He doesn’t at all. He has to cool down.”

To him, Wontwumi was “whipping all [regional] chairmen to raise their hands reluctantly. All of them have been embarrassed. If it had been anywhere, all the chairmen would resign.”

But Lawyer Ampaw was quick to fire that it is rather the posture of Hon. Agyapong in the NPP that gives an indication he feels bigger than others.

“Between you and Chairman Wontumi, who behaves like he is bigger in the party?” Lawyer Ampaw said.

He rolled back the words of Mr. Agyapong where he threatened members of the NPP with insults and told them that without him as their flagbearer, there is no way they can win the 2024 Presidential elections.

“What is more insulting than you telling delegates that if they don’t vote for you, the NPP has no choice in the coming elections?” he quizzed.

In his view, whenever Kennedy Agyapong opens his mouth, “he divides the party”.
