Assin Central lawmaker, Kennedy Agyapong has pleaded with the Paramount Chief of Wa Traditional area for the military brutalisation the community experienced weeks ago.
This comes after the military stormed the community to brutalise innocent citizens going about their normal duties after one of them had their phone stolen.
This has received wide condemnation from the public with the President personally going there to plead for forgiveness too.
The soldiers, according to the Ghana Armed forces have since been sanctioned.
Leading a delegation of members of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Defence and Interior as Chairman, Ken Agyapong minced no words when he said: “We are coming here to plead with the Overlord and the Paramount Chiefs and queenmothers and elders of Wa Traditional Area and Upper West to forgive the military and forgive the country so that we can move.”
