Ken Ofori-Atta Approval: It’s Not My Duty To Give Akufo-Addo Good Ministers – Haruna Iddrisu

Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu says he only did his job by approving minister-nominees of President Akufo-Addo including finance minster, Ken Ofori-Atta.

He made this assertion on TV3 after being asked why the NDC caucus on the Appointment committee went ahead to approve the finance minister despite raising several red flags about him during his first four year tenure.

In response, Haruna Iddrisu questioned if the evidences against Mr Ofori-Atta were enough to reject him.

“Are those sufficient to say that you don’t approve of a person? I leave that answer to you,?” he quizzed.

He added “It is not my duty as Minority Leader to give government good ministers, it is not my duty. I only acted in accordance with law and in accordance with the constitution.”
