Ken Agyapong Threatens To Force NIA Boss To Resign After He Refused To Employ NPP Footsoldiers

MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has threatened to force NIA boss, Prof. Ken Agyemang Attafuah to resign from his position following some comments he made.

Prof. Attafuah, in an interview on Accra-based Angel FM said the President had charged him to buid a national identification system that is politically neutral.

The NIA boss also said the President asked him not to employ any NPP executives at the NIA, hence he will not be forced by pressure from party bigwigs to do so.

However, Ken Agyapong believes the NIA boss’ comment is an insult to footsoldiers and other party supporters whose efforts brought the party to power.

According to the MP, the NIA boss’ stance has the potential to force NPP footsoldiers to sit on the fringes, and this can cause the party’s defeat in 2024.

Thus, the Assin Central MP said he will incite party footsoldiers against Prof. Attafuah and force him out of his role.
