Just In: Supreme Court Rejects Tsikata’s Request For Inspection Of Original EC Documents

The Supreme Court has rejected an application for inspection of documents by the lead counsel for the petitioner, Tsatsu Tsikata.

After arguments advanced by Mr Tsikata in support of his application and counter-arguments by the lawyers for the 1st and 2nd respondents, the court rose to consider their ruling.

The court presided over by chief justice Kwasi Annin Yeboah subsequently returned to deliver their ruling after about an hour.

Reading the ruling on behalf of the panel, the Chief Justice said that the two prime witnesses for the petitioner had already admitted that they have duplicate copies of the said documents and therefore they do not deem it necessary to grant the application for inspection.
