The Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama has incurred the wrath of NPP communicators and party symphathizers after insinuating in an address that due to President Akufo-Addo’s age, he was likely to die earlier.
Former President Mahama, while addressing a gathering at Nadowli in the Upper West Region, tried to make an analogy to the effect that President Akufo-Addo was advanced in age and was not likely to feel the impact of the economic decisions he is making now.
The NDC flagbearer explained that the youth who are likely to be alive in probably the next fifty years are the ones who will feel the real impact of President Akufo-Addo’s borrowing and other decisions.
However, this analogy by the former President has not gone down well with NPP communicators who understand the message to mean that President Akufo-Addo is likely to die early.
Taking to social media, the obviously furious NPP sympathizers have accused Mr Mahama of wishing death for his colleague.
