John Mahama Officially Withdraws His Acceptance As AU Special Envoy After Somalia Raised Concerns About His Neutrality
Former President John Dramani Mahama has formally withdrawn his acceptance as AU Special Envoy to Somalia.
This is after Somalia raised some concerns about the neutrality of the former Ghana President.
In a statement signed by his aide, Madam Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the former President noted that the assignment requires a high representative.
The former President also noted that the nature of the assignment requires that the Envoy enjoys the unalloyed Support and cooperation of all political stakeholders.
