I’ve Only Heard Asiedu Nketia Running Media Commentary On My Sacking; No Letter Has Been Served To Me – Anyidoho

Former Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, says he’s yet to receive a copy of the letter indicating his expulsion from the party.

In a letter addressed to the General Secretary of the NDC, Asiedu Nketia, Anyidoho indicated he’s only heard media commentary of his expulsion but never received a letter to that effect.

A statement on July 27, 2021 signed by the party’s General Secretary, Asiedu Nketia said the Functional Executive Committee recommended that Mr Anyidoho be sacked over indiscipline.

Mr Anyidoho had already been suspended by the party for close to five months.

The statement read in part: “The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) acting in compliance of Article 48(1) of the NDC Constitution unanimously adopted the report and accepts full responsibility for your expulsion from the party.

“You are, therefore, by the decision of FEC expelled from the National Democratic Congress and for that matter you are no more recognised as a member the party and cannot carry yourself as such.”
