It’s An Insult To The Ordinary Ghanaian To Say NDC Behind #FixTheCountry Protest – Ras Mubarak

Former Kumbungu lawmaker, Ras Mubarak has slammed persons within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who continue to claim the fix the country campaign was triggered by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Ghanaians on social media, particularly, twitter have been demanding that government address the many social issues in the country using the hashtag #fixthecountry.

However, some members of the NPP including its National Chairman, Freddy Blay have said the NDC are the ones fueling the campaign.

In reaction, Ras Mubarak believes it’ll be an insult to the average Ghanaian who struggle to make ends meet under the NPP administration to attribute the campaign to NDC.

To him, the campaign is an indication that Ghanaians are fed up with the hardships under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo.

“NDC not behind it. The NDC was not the party that started this. This is a spontaneous reaction to bad governance so if they continue to disrespect Ghanaians in these terms, it might exacerbate,” he said on Asaase Radio’s The Bulletin Programme.

“In fact, to say that the NDC is behind it is insulting to the…farmer whose produce gets rotten because vehicles can’t come to his farms to cart the stuff that he produces,” he added.
