Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has promised to upgrade the Wa Municipality to the status of a Metropolis if he wins the December 7, polls.
He made this known while addressing the chiefs and people at the Wa Naa Palace as part of his tour to the Upper West Region.
John Mahama insisted on his pledge to invest in infrastructure and complete all abandoned projects by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He stated, “…..considering the growing number of people and businesses in the Wa municipality, It will be befitting to upgrade it to the status of a metropolis if I am voted into power.”
