The Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo-Dampare personally apprehended a reckless V8 driver who jumped traffic on the Kumasi-Accra Highway.
According to a report by online portal, mynewsgh, the Police chief was travelling from Anyinam towards Accra when a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 with registration number GB 3729-20 failed to follow the traffic and drove through the oncoming traffic forcing vehicles to move unto the shoulder of the road.
This prompted the IGP to pursue and arrest him, handing him over to the Kibi Police.
The driver has been detained for further investigations.
