The Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has issued a strong warning to trouble makers in the Krobo enclave to behave themselves.
The Police Chief, who made a working visit to the Area to try and find a solution to the impasse between youth in the Area and ECG officials, warned that the Police will use every available legal avenue to ensure peace prevail.
Parts of the Krobo enclave in the Eastern Region have been plunged into darkness after the indigenes, mainly youth engaged in a violent clash with ECG personnel who they claim serve them with exorbitant electricity bills.
The Electricity Company of Ghana, in a bit to secure the safety of their workers, have relocated their office to Juapong in the Volta Region.
Dr. Dampare, in an attempt to find a lasting solution, personally made the trip to the Area to engage Chiefs and stakeholders on the way forward.
The IGP warned the youth to desist from employing violence as a means of addressing their grievances since he and his mean will meet violence with a fierce response.
Dr. Dampare was emphatic that his administration will not entertain crime in any set or form and that criminals will know no peace even after death.
