If You Don’t Find The Killers Of The Late MP, ‘What Will Happen Will Happen’ – Akufo-Addo Charges IGP

President Akufo-Addo has charged the Inspector General of Police, Mr James Oppong Boanuh to do all that is within his power to ensure that the criminals who took the life of the late MP for Mfantseman, Ekow Kwansa Hayford are brought to book.

The late MP was murdered on Friday, October 9 by unknown assailants while returning from a campaign trip in the company of his aides.

President Akufo-Addo, who said he is shaken by the demise of the late MP whom he had plans to appoint in his next government, cautioned the IGP that this murder was a test case for him and the Police force.

“This is why I have made it known to the IGP that if nothing is done about this particular matter, what will happen will happen,” the President said when he paid a visit to the bereaved family.

The IGP has meanwile announced a bounty of GHS 20,000 on the head of the killers. According to the Police, this amount will be given to any person who volunteers credible information that will lead to the arrest of the murderers.
