If Politicians Give You Money For Votes, ‘Take And Chop It’ And Vote Against Them – Mahama

Former president John Dramani Mahama has advised electorates to avoid falling for politicians who try to buy their votes and rather prioritize their future.

Addressing the people of Alavanyo in the Hohoe Municipality as part of his tour to the Volta and Oti regions, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer urged electorates to take monies given them by politicians in a bid to buy their votes and vote against them.

Mahama said, “In Hohoe Constituency, no skirt and blouse vote. I know that because elections are coming, they will come and give you money.”

He added, “when they bring the money, take it and ‘chop’ it, but when you enter the booth, remember that you are voting for the future of your children.”

Mr Mahama further promised to create one million jobs for the teeming youth in the country if elected as President again.
