The incumbent General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu says it will be a big blow for the ruling party should he step down from the contest.
According to John Boadu, if he glimpses at where the NPP is coming from and what happened to NPP in 2000 and NDC in 2008, and steps down, it will be a big disappointment.
Appearing on the Privilege Morning Show on Wontumi TV on Monday to plead with the NPP delegates for retainment, he said those saying he has reduced the NPP Parliamentary seats from 169 to 137 should not forget he is the person who increased it from 104 to 169.
John Boadu told the host, Oheneba Nana Asiedu that NPP was in opposition when he was elected as the General Secretary.
