If For Nothing At All, You Can Trust NPP, NDC Not To Change Constitution To Hold On To Power – Gabby

Gabby Otchere-Darko says Ghanaians can trust both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to manipulate the constitution in order to hold on to power for a long time.

His comment comes on the back of a coup d’état in Guinea after the country’s president manipulated the constitution to rule for a third term.

“If there’s 1 thing that you can trust both main political parties in Ghana with, it is that our constitutional provision of a maximum 2 four-year terms per person will never be disturbed. We know our history and we know our destiny. We believe we will get there even if impatient,” he wrote on twitter.

Meanwhile the ECOWAS has mounted pressure on the military to return the country to constitutional rule immediately or face sanctions.
