“If Dubai Was Run By Foolish Governments, Would It Be Where It Is For You To Take Your Girlfriends There” – A Plus Fires Gov’t Again

Outspoken musician and political activist, Kwame A Plus has fired the government once again, after a not-so-heavy downpour yesterday led to severe flooding in parts of Accra.

The political activist who was reacting to a video of the flooding that occured yesterday, chastized successive governments for failing to address the problem.

According to A Plus, he disagrees with people who blame the flooding on citizens building in waterways. He explained that even before a citizen can build in a waterway, he will require a permit from government, so to him the issue boils down to irresponsible governments.

In a post on Facebook, the musician wrote in part,

“To those who say people must know better, let me ask you, If people must know better why do we need a government? Why do we queue to vote? Why do we need leaders? Why do we need police? Why do we need laws and bylaws? Why do we need traffic lights and CCTV cameras all over the place? Are they just for beautification?

All people will never know better that is why we need the aforementioned. A 1st fool (builder) secures a parcel of land in a waterways, goes to a 2nd bigger useless fool (government) for permit to build in the waterway which will eventually cause flooding and you say I should leave government the foolish big brother and blame the smaller fool? Ah!!!

If Dubai was run by foolish governments would it have been where it is today for government officials to take their girlfriends there?”
