Former MP for Tamale Central, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has disclosed that he was approached by a leading member of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s team to join them in strategizing for the Vice President to lead the NPP as flagbearer.
Speaking on Accra-based Pan African Television, the former legislator said he was informed that his expertise will be needed when the Vice President is given the nod by the NPP to be their flagbearer.
According to Mr Fuseini, the argument made was that since they are all Northern brothers, he will be called upon to assist the Vice President.
However, the astute lawyer said he rejected the invitation outrightly because the candidate of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama is also of Northern descent.
Mr Fuseini also disclosed that Dr Bawumia has already selected a running mate who will join him when he is given the nod by the NPP to become their flagbearer.
