The member of parliament for North Tongu in the Volta region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, made a remark he has been lauded for.
Speaking on GHToday on Ghone TV, the National Democratic Congress MP has revealed that with all sincerity, he has always waited for the salaries of politicians to be paid after the salaries of the poor and vulnerable have been paid and they are okay.
His comment came right after he revealed in the same interview that salaries for parliamentarians for the month of May had not been paid.
He told the host, Serwaa Amihere, that parliamentarians’ salaries had not been paid, but he would like Nabco trainees’ and national service personnel’s salaries to be paid because he knows they have a lot to settle.
