Johnson Asiedu Nketia, who is one of the witnesses of the petitioner in the ongoing 2020 election petition hearing, has told the Supreme Court that he never declared John Dramani Mahama winner after the 2020 polls.
This comes after video tapes of him and John Dramani Mahama were played in court claiming that the NDC won the Presidential polls.
Subjected to cross examination in his second day as witness, he was bombarded with questions from the lead counsel of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the ongoing 2020 Presidential Election Petition being heard at the Supreme Court.
When asked whether he and other members of his party, by virtue of the evidence in the video sought to declare their candidate as the winner of the election, the NDC General Secretary in his response said his statement was not definite.
“I never said definitely that the petitioner has won the election,” he affirmed.
