I Have Not Abandoned Economics; I Am Digitalizing The Economy – Bawumia Hits Back At Critics

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has taken on critics of his digitalization agenda.

Mr Bawumia has been criticised particularly by the opposition NDC who have asked why the Vice President has abandoned his much touted economic records to pursue digitalisation.

Speaking at a lecture at the Ashesi University, Dr Bawumia said countries who do not digitise will lag behind.

According to him, far from abandoning the economics, “the reality is that in this era, if you don’t digitise, you will not have much of an economy; noting that “digital police is economic policy.
