I Earned GH¢1,500 As Salary In Ghana, Now I Take GH¢9,000 In Vietnam – Female Teacher [Video]

When Mercy Agyei Ankomah lives in Vietnam, she works as an English teacher there. She earns about $3,000 per month. However, she took home GH1,500 in Ghana.

This is what Mercy said in an interview with SVTV Africa. Even though she gets a lot of money, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, she isn’t paid on time.

“A better salary this time. Before the pandemic, black teachers took $600. After the pandemic, they took $1,200 each time. But when the pandemic hit, the white teachers left the school. So I take $1300 now. Then, other people get $1200 to $3000, too.”

“The problem is that we had to go home in February because there was a party. So I don’t have anything I can trust. We’re in March, and it’s the same thing “That’s what she told the DJ,

Apparently, the former Juaben Senior High School teacher had a good life in Ghana. She decided to travel because of the “sweet” words from some travel agents.

She said that when she first came to Vietnam in 2019, she had a hard time getting around.

Mercy told Ghanaians not to go to Vietnam because there are no jobs except for teaching English. Miss Ankomah said that even though all of this, she has no plans to return to Ghana.

“A job lasts for two months. Then you stay at home for seven months and spend all the money. If I were to come to Ghana, I wouldn’t be ready to stay. I know that Ghana is a lot more expensive now, but I still want to go there “A little mercy was thrown in there.
