How Can Ashanti Region That Gave NDC 600K Votes Treat Its Members Like Lepers? – Lecturer Fires Mahama

A lecturer at the Christian Service University College, Rev Justice Opoku Mensah Bofa has taken on former president John Dramani Mahama for his ‘unclean lepers’ with regards to how NDC members are treated in the Ashanti region.

According to him, Mahama’s comments make it obvious that he’s yet to recover from the 2020 election defeat.

He wondered why Mahama would claim NDC members are treated like unclean lepers in a region that gave them over 600,000 votes.

While speaking on his thank you tour, Mr Mahama said the Ashanti region which is the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) does not embrace the NDC rather look down on its members as if they suffer from leprosy.

Although admitting that the NDC had its second highest votes from the Ashanti region in 2020, he said it’s almost as if supporting the NDC in the region is an abomination because members are looked down upon and despised.
