Felix Abagi, a young guy in his early twenties, was discovered dead in his room in Abura Dunkwa in the Central Region’s Abura Asebu Kwamankese.
He was reportedly discovered hanging on a rope Monday morning by neighbors who came into his room after smelling an odor coming from his direction and discovered him dead.
Residents said he was last seen on Thursday after leaving the Abura Dunkwa Government Hospital’s Department of Pharmacy.
He was discovered dead in his chamber, with a liquid believed to be a toxic chemical alongside him.
It’s unclear what drove the young man, who residents describe as quiet, to commit suicide.
The deceased’s body has subsequently been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Mortuary, where it will be autopsied, while police investigate.
