State broadcasters GTV Sports+ and GTV have been blocked from carrying out the live telecast of the CAF Confederation Cup clash between Hearts of Oak and Real Bamako.
Sources close to the 2004 winners have revealed that the second round reverse fixture won’t be live for viewers across the nation due to a last-minute decision by the leadership of the club.
Earlier this week, GTV Sports+ had announced that the game would be live on its sports-only channel after reaching agreement with the leadership of the club.
According to deep-seated sources, though the broadcast partners of Hearts of Oak, GTVSports +, had been seen around the stadium since Friday, yesterday and even today Sunday to set up, leadership of the two partners can be seen in various discussions at the stadium with the intelligence on the subject matter bothering on the lack of interest from one other parties putting the game on TV.
The suspected reason for this unusual and last minute disappointing intelligence is that the teaming fans of the club are expected in the stadium to give the players the needed intimidating atmosphere to boost morale for the over turn the 0:3 results and subsequent qualification for the next stage of the competition.
Hearts suffered a 3-0 first-leg loss and are desperate to overturn the results.
