Group To Protest Over Gov’t’s Neglect Of Komenda Sugar Factory

A group calling itself Concerned Citizens of Komenda Traditional Area has served notice to the Ghana Police Service of an intended demonstration which will be taking effect on the 6th July, 2021.

This was revealed in a letter served to the Ghana Police Service and intercepted by GhanaFeed.com.

According to the group, their intended demonstration is to ‘create awareness about the unceasing deterioration of the New Komenda Sugar Factory as a consequence of its neglect by the authorities whose duty is to ensure its operationalization after it was commissioned on the 30th of May, 2016’.

According to the group, they are expecting about two thousand people in their intended demonstration.
