Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has revealed that parents can now call 311 to speak to a dedicated staff and find out details of issues in their wards schools, particularly Covid-19.
Speaking to the press on Thursday in Accra, he said a dedicated desk has been created at the Coronavirus Call Centres where parents can phone in and have their concerns addressed.
This comes after reports of Covid-19 outbreak in some senior high schools including Accra Girls where some six students, a teacher and a spouse, tested positive for Covid-19.
Oppong Nkrumah also said a Coronavirus sub-committee has been formed to monitor the enforcement of Covid-19 safety protocols in schools across the country.
He said the committee will work to address gaps in the enforcement of the protocols on campuses nationwide as government continues to monitor the safety protocols in schools.
