Government Appointees Are Involved In Galamsey – Ashanti Regional Minister Confirms

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah has confirmed the lingering rumors that Appointees of the government are actively involved in Galamsey.

There have been rumours linking government Appointees to the phenomenon of illegal mining even though no names have been disclosed.

Mr Osei Mensah revealed that in the government’s renewed commitment to fight the canker, such Appointees could soon be named and shamed.

Mr Osei Mensah was speaking at a National Consultative Dialogue on small-scale mining held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
